In the strategy document you talk about mixing up the map urls in the article (description) page with 10 spun short map urls. Do you also mix up the main site url in main settings? If so, what do you recommend we use here?

I'm having trouble getting the goo.gl short url you show in the pdf. I am clicking on the share button in the google maps per the pdf image but only get a g.page url. Any suggestions?
You can use any of the links created that are Pointing to your GMB
the idea is to get a few links out to the GMB and biz site URL to let google know there's some movement happening.. but you don't want too many..
You do want a LOT of links pointing to the links pointing to your GMB and Biz site URL..
Google recently pulled the unlimited new short URL's.. now they only give you the original one.. this happened since I created that video above etc.
So you only use that one single short URL etc.
I used that strategy of 10X short URL's because it made complete sense![]()
but now that they do not do unlimited different short URL's then only use 1
So would it be ok to spin GMB post URLs and put those in place of the 10x short URLs? Or is there another type of link that would be better to replace in that 10X spot or just use the short url once and leave it at that for each run?
Are you sure about this Peter? I just checked some of mine and I see some are indexed (granted, not many) -the most recent from Dec 13th. I checked several of my GMB sites and none had more than a dozen indexed, and none more recent than last month. So if it's something that was recently implemented by Google, maybe I won't see any future posts get indexed (I don't know).
I checked by doing this search: site:yourgmbsitename.business.site/posts
Ah, OK... so if I understand you correctly, you're saying not to use those Google generated "short URLs" like: https://posts.gle/4TH7c (or the ultimate destination URL it takes you to)
If I got that part correct, you can still link to that same content, you just need to link to it in its' different location, i.e. on your business.site (because ultimately it ends up there anyway, right?)
Here's what I mean, using that example above (random one I found doing a search - no association with it)
Short URL: https://posts.gle/4TH7c --> takes you to --> https://www.google.com/search?q=C.S+...50698162576663
That company's business.site is: https://cs-sewer-drain-and-plumbing.business.site
If you just add /posts/the_pid_number (found at the end of the long URL, in this case 5744250698162576663) to the end of their business.site url you end up with:
https://cs-sewer-drain-and-plumbing....50698162576663
Which takes to to the same content as the original short URL, just 'hosted' on the business.site.
Sorry for the long-winded reply... it's just that I've been using those business.site/posts/1234 type links to link to and you had me worried that all that was in vain. I don't *think* it was, but... if you could chime in again when you get a chance to verify, I'd appreciate it! Thanks man!![]()
yes as you correctly showed above, you can get the business.site posts indexed easy.
I was talking about the posts to your google my business account, which is separate from your business.site etc. those posts on the GMB do not index. Because they are restricted via robots.txt etc.
Was glad to read this as I was starting to collect the gmb posts to link to.
I ran some of them thru scrapeboxes redirect check and see they go to a 302 then a 301? But how do you check the robots txt for a noindex tag for a link that redirects? The end point is kinda weird and nothing shows up in the view source page?
