If I want to learn SEO, should I know web development also? I know HTML and CSS. Never learned JavaScript or any other languages, but I am willing to learn it. I want to do SEO and make money online and I was wondering if learning web development will enhance my chances for success? Thanks.

Not at all. I know a LOT Of TOP seos who know very little coding at all. Very few could code in HTML or css, so your ahead already of a lot of SEO pros in terms of your technical ability.

Jump in with both feet mate. Whatever you don't know is only one youtube/google search away from the answer.

When I started, there was no google or YT, no social media, no forums, well there was one, it was called gfy.com for porn webmasters who were into seo, and back then the vast majority of searches was porn related LOL.

But we figured it out and seo back then was pretty simple by comparison to, today. Back then I had 0 coding skills whatsoever. But I soon found people who had the skills I didn't and we moved forward together etc.

Being successful online is about developing relationships with the correct people for your circumstance.
